Accounting Assistant
Dura-Line is hiring a versatile Accounting Assistant professional who can make an immediate impact to our organization by playing a critical role in assisting the different functions throughout the department (i.e. AP, AR, General). The successful candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be flexible in taking on various responsibilities based on the need of the department and be capable of developing strong working relationships in a fast-paced remote environment. This role will enable the candidate to be exposed to a variety of responsibilities throughout the accounting function which will enable the future employee to diversify their accounting skillset.
In this exciting NEW remote position based in US or Canada, we are looking for an experienced individual to prepare account reconciliations, reach out to existing vendors regarding conversion from check to ACH payments and submit vendor change requests, perform analysis to help identify potential issues and propose solutions to ensure future efficiency and accuracy with diverse accounting skills that allows individual contribution throughout the North America Finance team.
This position is a critical part of the organization as you will be responsible for reviewing vendor account statements and confirming against subledger, assisting to maintain customer tax information, performing analysis to help identify potential issues and propose solutions to ensure future efficiency and accuracy, assisting with expense report auditing, and communicating with team to ensure alignment on all integrated tasks.
What is needed to be successful in this role?

We need a well-rounded individual with diverse accounting skills that allows individual contribution throughout the North America finance team

4 years of experience in a relevant position including a variety of accounting responsibilities with attention to detail in every aspect of daily work

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage relationships with vendors, accounting professionals throughout Orbia and individuals throughout the Dura-Line organization to ensure financial statement accuracy

Strong analytical skills and able to research and correct issues is it relates to bank balances, account balances, vendor statement balances

Experience in close processes including accruals, reconciliation, and analysis of accounts, etc.

Experience with SAP or other Tier 1 ERP as well as Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Self-motivated, ability to work independently while at the same time being willing to reach out to internal organizational resources and ability to prioritize projects
