Lead Maintenance Technician (All Interested Applicants / All sources) – US Embassy.

Responsibilities

1. The Electrical/Mechanical Team lead is in charge of critical and complex systems and projects, requiring the distribution of labour for an electrical team and managing scopes of the work that ranges from the large-scale down to the details.
2. The incumbent is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.
3. The Team Lead is responsible for many different aspects of the job, including planning, customer relations, material management, and quality control.

Duties

1. Completion of secondary school education is required. Plus 2 years technical or vocational training in the electrical field from a recognized institution is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years journey-level experience in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems, power generation and electrical distribution systems, grounding, and control circuitry is required.
3. Knowledge in any other trade associated with the building trade is required.
4. Good knowledge of US building, electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety codes; building and trade standards is required. Must have an understanding of how the local electrical company operates and contact personnel within the company. Must know the capabilities of the systems/electrical grids serving our properties.
5. Good working knowledge ( Level III) speaking/reading/writing is required.
6. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
